Overview
Sunsets on Britannia is a work-in-progress story and world building project set in future Britain, primarily London.
Each blog post will be used to expand upon the Sunsets on Britannia universe. This could be done through the use of the free-flowing story, posts focusing on specific lore, side stories, and imagery among others.
Free-flowing story
The free-flowing story is the core of Sunsets on Britannia. The idea is to produce a story in the form of a blog that is written and evolves, with no particular ending in sight. The point of the blog is to build a universe through the story.
Lore posts
These will be posts that expand upon certain elements in the free-flowing story. If a story event happens in a local shop, the next lore post could be about that shop. I would look into the owners, the shop name, maybe the history. Accompanying this may be some imagery to back up the written posts.
Side stories
These are fairly self-explanatory, instead of focusing on the main story these would take a detour, or perhaps focus on a completely different location or person.
Why this blog?
I have set this blog up to be an outlet for practising my writing skills, as well as my drawing abilities. As time progresses, I hope the practice of writing on a semi-regular basis will help improve my grammar, punctuation and creative writing skills.
Alongside the written posts, I will have sketches and digital drawings that I hope will improve my creative ability to draw.
I hope that practising the above points will be made more enjoyable by the blogging, story and universe building mediums that I have decided to run with!
